John has been bowhunting in Michigan for over 40 years and has 23 bucks in their recordbook without owning or leasing any land. Many of John's harvests have come from state land. John held the muzzleloader state record buck for 5 years. John is on the following Pro Staffs: Mathews, Scent Lok, Rivers West, G-5, Eastman Outdoors, Buckwing, HME, Carbon Express, Trophyline.
-10 P & Y class bucks from other states as well.
-Scorer for Commerorative Bucks of Michigan since 1985.
-Co-authored two books with his son Chris Bowhunting Pressured Whitetails and Precision Bowhunting. Books are top sellers in the hunting category at: Amazon.com, Borders, Barnes & Nobles, Cabellas, and Bass Pro.
-Produced a 3 volume instructional bowhunting dvd series titled Bowhunting Presssured Whitetails.
-Produced an instructional DVD titled Archery Mechanics to teach novices as well as experienced archers how to shoot, choose the proper bow and all accessories required for hunting or shooting.
-Currently writes for Deer & Deer Hunting, Petersons Bowhunting, Bowhunter Magazine, Bow and Arrow Hunting, Mathews, Michigan Sportsman, Michigan Out of Doors, Wisconsin Outdoors, Woods & Water News, and other regional magazines.
-Has done instructional bowhunting TV shows for American Archer, Michigan Out-of-Doors, Scent Lok, and Field talk with Fitz.
